In some paths/ traditions, etc. of magic, it is believed that Godforms can be artificially made - with enough power/ belief/ chocolate muffins, etc. This is a topic we've tackled before on occasion, but usually from the viewpoint of 'do you think it can be done?' I think we have also discussed *how* it can be done.
I'd like to talk about something different. Hypothetically, please assume that it *is* somehow possible to artificially create an entity that is similar to deities that pre exist (for the sake of argument, please also assume that deities exist too), in terms of power or nature. Similar, but not the same.
Do you think it is appropriate to do this? Is it appropriate under some circumstances, but not others? Is it appropriate to do it for any reason?
If you think it is appropriate, what would *you* construct one for (ie: what is the purpose of making one?) ?
What limitations do you think an artificial deity would have? What short falls? By contrast, what positives would there be to working with an artificial deity rather than a 'natural' deity?
